In 1885, Chinese laborers dug a 350 foot wine cave, using only picks and shovels.  This hand-dug cave and winery was one of the first wineries to appear in the Napa Valley, and is currently one of only six still in existence.  In 1997, Dave and Yolanda Del Dotto restored the original winery and began aging their red wines in the caves.  These Cave-Aged wines proved to be more voluptuous and opulent than those aged in modern facilities, and we continue to age our wines in these historic caves to this day.

   		Cave Experience & Barrel Tasting: $60 per person

Come and experience wines that are thieved right out of the barrel on our Cave Tour and Barrel Tasting Experience.  Taste the difference between wines produced in oak barrels from the great forests of the world: a common example is a side-by-side comparison of a single vineyard cabernet aged in French oak tasted alongside that same cabernet aged in American oak. With up to 45 different wines for your host to choose from, you are sure to get a customized experience on each visit.  Voted #1 tasting experience by world wine critics!

This experience includes a tasting of approximately eight wines thieved right out of the barrel.  After you exit the caves, you will be offered a selection of cheese & house-made salumi, cured by our resident chef, Joshua Schwartz.  Port accompanied by dark chocolate will complete the tasting.  Please allow 90 minutes to complete the experience.

Sunday-Thursday, our Cave Tour & Barrel Tasting Experiences are available at the following times, upon availability:

11:00am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 3:30pm

Fridays and Saturdays ONLY, our Cave Tour & Barrel Tasting Experiences are available at the following times, upon availability:

10:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm, 12:30 pm, 2:00pm, 2:30pm,
*4:00pm (*VIP members Only) 

We apologize, but due to the nature of the tour, children under 18 are not allowed on this experience.


Bar Tasting: $30 per person

For a slightly less comprehensive experience, we offer this sampling of five wines and/or port at our tasting bar, accompanied by a selection of fine cheeses and breadsticks.

Bar Tastings are available throughout the day between 11am and 4:30pm, but may be scheduled to avoid conflicting with the cave tours upon managements’ discretion.
