This wine is black in color with aromas of wet rock, dried brush, and herbs. Strong flavors of black tea and dark chocolate with a huge silky smooth finish with slight wood tannins.
For starters, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve from Howell Mountain shows sensational concentration, an inky/bluish purple color, loads of ripe mulberry, crème de cassis and graphite in a full-bodied, beautifully textured, multilayered mouthfeel. The wine is super-rich, has ripe tannin and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that tips the scales at 14.7% natural alcohol. This is a stunner and should drink well for another 15-20 years. eRobertParker.com #222 Dec 2015 96 Points Drink: 2016-2036
