2014 St. Helena Mountain Single Cluster Cabernet Sauvignon Etched 3L

A cordon-trained grapevine, with two arms and five shoots on each arm, optimally ripens two clusters of grapes per shoot. By training our vines to yield a single cluster per shoot, we have increased our vines' ability to produce a more intensely concentrated wine, from each of our premier single vineyard blocks throughout the Napa Valley. The resulting wines demonstrate the single vineyard's characteristics and complexities, culminating in a remarkably lush and nuanced high quality wine.

Tasting Notes:

This is a densely concentrated and highly complex Cabernet Sauvignon leading with bold black fruit aromas, ripe red raspberry and fresh pulled espresso leap out of the glass. Entering the palate with liquor-like richness. Rich baked blackberry, black raspberry, huckleberry liqueur, black plum skin, black currant, and dried black cherries are underscored by black licorice and delicate hints of espresso, dark cocoa and coffee bean. With a distinct and undeniable precise minerality, it finishes powerful yet silky lingering with length on the palate for nearly a minute. Will drink well for 15+ years.
