Tasting Notes:

Our 2018 Cinghiale Vineyard Syrah is a great example of how the varietal does on the coast.  It has a classic Rhone wild “savage” character, with expressions of black pepper, licorice, roasted plumb, spice, and cured meats.  The palate is perfectly juicy with structure provided by very fine tannins.  It finishes with focus and definition and makes you excited for the next sip. 

Syrah is a varietal like no other and certainly stands out in our portfolio.  It is such a dynamic grape to work with as it has unique presentations wherever it grown around the world.  We really think that the Sonoma Coast is one of the premier areas for the varietal.  It offers a deep, dark color, wild fruit and earth aromatics, a plush mouthfeel, and enough structure that makes it a real food wine that can pair with everything from nuts and cheeses, to your favorite wild game, or simply your go to cut of steak on the grill.
