Tasting Notes:

This unique American oak showcases a variety of enjoyable aromatics.  There is snickers bar, charred brisket, blackberry and cinnamon.  It's wonderful how each of our Estate vineyards interact with the U-Stave barrel exposing more surface area from the barrel to the wine.  The flavors and mouthfeel are extremely balanced with the Oakville Family Reserve.  The barrel does not show up the fruit and vice versa.  There is dark chocolate, cookie crumbles, boysenberry marmalade and toasted oak finishing with a slight note of fresh ground coffee.
