Tasting Notes:

The Taransaud barrel is most recently becoming one of the new shining stars of our French oak barrel program.  The oak is sourced almost exclusively from the Troncais forest which reigns as one of the oldest forests in France planted by Jean Baptiste Colbert in the late 1600's.  This barrel offers a stunning and unique bouquet with notes of black fruits, eucalyptus, cream de cassis, subtle baking spice and a touch of sarsaparilla.  The mouthfeel is rich and lush with balanced grippy tannin structure.  Dark chocolate shavings blend seamlessly with plum and mulberry, beautiful acidity and a hint of earth.  The finish is soft and mouthwatering leaving you ready for another glass!
