Tasting Notes:

Its quite easy to see why the Darnajou barrel has quickly become one of the most sought after coopers in the world of fine Cabernets!  We sometimes nickname this the ghost barrel as the oak is integrated with the juice so seamlessly, it allows the fruit to be the showcase yet with firm and complex additions from the oak.  The bouquet is soft and supple, floral notes of lilacs and violet add layers to the beautiful red berries.  The flavors are extremely fruit driven, with black cherry and sweet cranberry.  There is also a wonderful weighty finish of mocha and chocolate bar.
