Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Villa Del Lago (a barrel sample) is a little youthfully shy, offering glimpses at crushed blueberries and black cherries with hints of crème de cassis, spice box and mocha plus a touch of vanilla. The palate is rich, full-bodied and finely crafted, with a firm, ripe, fine-grained backbone and seamless acid supporting the generous fruit, finishing with great length.
