2016 St. Helena Mountain Vicard Energie French Oak B2 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

Tasting Notes:

The Vicard cooperage has over 6 generations of history and experience in the production of world class French oak barrels.  This meticulously crafted barrel uses infrared technology to toast the barrel staves immaculately consistent.  The combination of this special barrel with our St. Helena Mountain vineyard produces a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon super rich and dense with multiple layers of complexity throughout the bouquet to the lengthy finish.  Aromatics of dark cocoa and dark roast espresso bean add layers to the black fruits, with boysenberry and currants.  The mouthfeel is powerful yet balanced and viscous, with velvet like tannin.  This wine is entering its prime and should drink superbly for the next 7-10 years.  Enjoy!!
