Tasting Notes:

Syrah is a varietal like no other and certainly stands out in our portfolio.  It is such a dynamic grape to work with as it has unique presentations wherever it grown around the world.  We really think that the Sonoma Coast is one of the premier areas for the varietal.  It offers a deep, dark color, wild fruit and earth aromatics, a plush mouthfeel, and enough structure that makes it a real food wine that can pair with everything from nuts and cheeses, to your favorite wild game, or simply your go to cut of steak on the grill. 

The 2017 Syrah is definitely driven by warm, earthy notes, and nuances of charcuterie and white-pepper spice on the nose.  On the palate, the more dark fruit elements are expressed.  Blackberry and wild berry come through, highlighted by notes of sandalwood and cedar.  The palate offers a nice combination of juicy deliciousness, but it is framed with a nice beam of acidity.
