This Meritage is a seamlessly integrated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grown at 1400 foot elevation atop Napa's prestigious Howell Mountain Appellation. The aromatics are delightful, showcasing a floral component of violets and lavender interwoven with cigar box and cranberry concentrate with a slight hint of eucalyptus. The bouquet of cranberries and currants develops on the palate into boysenberry and huckleberry with a taste of toasted pie crust and vanilla crème brûlée. This wine is intensely structured and will polish gracefully with just a few years in bottle. Age worthy and savory yet enjoyable in its youth.
