The 2017 Villa Del Lago has absolutely gorgeous fruit expressions jumping from the glass. Everything from red and black cherries, cassis and ripe currants, to plum and blueberry. Hints of sweet vanilla and light floral notes add another layer of dimension to this wine aromatically, all of which carries through to the palate. The mouthfeel has an impressive way of maintaining a luscious and soft impression, but there is a very sophisticated framework that makes this wine such a cellar friendly and food friendly wine.
