Tasting Notes:

The Oakville appellation may quite possibly be the most famous micro climate for Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley.  The 2021 Piazza Oakville Family Reserve blend is a superb offering and a perfect representation of the terroir from this renowned appellation.  The bouquet is full of bright red fruits that actually evolve into blue fruits as the nose opens up.  Sweet vanilla bean is accented by a splash of pine and fresh earth.  The mouthfeel is beautifully rounded with juicy flavors of ripe plum, raspberry puree' and a creamy chocolate.  The fine grain tannin structure will allow for beautiful aging and yet very approachable in it's youth.
