2021 Piazza Del Dotto Oakville Estate MGX Fouquet French Oak EAST Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

Tasting Notes:

The MGX Fouquet barrel seems to be a perfect fit for this left bank style Cabernet.  The oak is sourced from the ancient forests in Allier and Nevers.  This wonderful selection has a dense butterscotch characteristic in the nose along with a juicy and fleshy rhubarb note.  As the wine breathes, the underlying cocoa nib aroma develops.  This is a full bodied mouthfeel with chocolate covered blueberry notes that are layered with warm spice and a voluminous midpalate.  The MGX Fouquet with our Oakville Estate is definitely one of the richest selections from the vintage.
