100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Vineyard 887 in St. Helena

Tasting Notes:

This is the delicious American oak selection from Minnesota.  With a colder climate and tighter grained trees, this bouquet shows off a certain hazelnut character, with toasted coconut and extracted vanilla bean.  The flavors are a tad brighter and livelier than it's French oak counterpart.  The fruit is closely exuberant and lush as with the French oak, with a slightly brighter tone of Bing cherry and sweet cranberry.  The finish is clean and concise leaving the pallet wanting more and more making sure the bottle does not last very long!  Enjoy!
