2022 GSM Blend Fort Ross-Seaview Sonoma Coast 750ml

Tasting Notes:

The GSM is 57% Syrah, 29% Mourvèdre, and 14% Grenache.  

One of the most interesting blends that we produce, the GSM hails from our spectacular Cinghiale vineyard.  The coastal climate is prime conditions for these Rhone varieties.  The Syrah is concentrated expressing beautiful blackberry, spicy black pepper, and even floral notes.  The Mourvèdre provides a rich mouthfeel in addition to a complex aromatic presence of fresh earth and dark fruit.  The Grenache excels in particular on the coast, offering raspberry spice, strawberry compote, and a framing liveliness that completes the entire wine.  While we have offered the individual varieties in the past, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to paint the wonderful picture that the dynamic blend has to offer.
