Tasting Notes:

The Oakville appellation is one of the most famous areas for Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley. The 2022 Piazza Oakville Family Reserve Cabernet is a superb offering and a perfect representation of the terroir from this renowned appellation. With only 15 barrels made, this wine is aged all in the best French oak barrels we have and is coming from our newest East block of this amazing vineyard site. The bouquet is full of bright red fruits like currant and red plums that evolve into blueberry, crème de cassis, chocolate, and nutmeg. The mouthfeel is big and complex with viscous and focused layers of flavor. The tannin structure will allow for beautiful aging and yet be very approachable in its youth.
