The Vineyard 887 Family Reserve blend is the most layered and balanced of all of the selections. It is a 10-barrel blend of the BEST French Oak barrels that we have. Layers of flavors showcase the purity of the black fruit from this amazing single vineyard site. Dusted almonds, nutmeg, cinnamon, Christmas spice, honey, currants, plum and sweet caramel. Explosive finish with full mouthfeel, this wine is balanced and energetic with amazing acidity. The barrel blend is truly the best representation of what this vineyard and vintage has to offer.

The Centre Sylvain French oak barrel is a classic. Jean Luc Sylvain's family has been making barrels in Bordeaux for nearly two centuries and this selection exudes rich yet very balanced flavor profiles. This is a savory and brooding wine bursting with black cherry flavors. This barrel is a bit more masculine than the other selections with integrated oak and more tannin structure. A perfect wine and an amazing collector Cabernet.

One of our favorite barrels from master cooper Alain Fouquet, these staves are sourced exclusively from the historic Allier and Nevers forests in France. This wine highlights the structured elements of the vineyard. With classic aromas and flavors of pencil led, graphite, leather, wet stone, shaved chocolate, molasses, and cigar box.

This is the counterpart to Alain Fouquet's regarded MGX style barrel. The staves are exclusively sourced from the Allier and Troncais forests. Richer and very approachable and refined and highlights the prettier aromatic qualities of the wines with a long complex finish.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Vineyard 887 in St. Helena
The Taransaud barrel has become one of the shining stars of our French oak barrel program. The oak is sourced almost exclusively from the Troncais forest which reigns as one of the oldest forests in France planted by Jean Baptiste Colbert in the late 1600's. This wine is so smooth and rich and highlights dark fruits, bakers’ dark chocolate and pomegranates.
