While it's built from the same clonal selections as our Rutherford estate, the David blend from Howell Mountain is a distinctly different expression. Grown at a higher elevation, this wine is a true mountain Cabernet with significantly more structure and concentration.

Here, the individual personalities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot reveal themselves in a decidedly different way. You'll find a core of dark plum and savory tobacco framed by notes of crushed stone and graphite. Aged in the finest new French oak, this eight-barrel blend is built for the long haul. It should evolve beautifully in the cellar for at least 15-20 years.
