Alain Fouquet is a fourth-generation French cooper with over 50 years of experience in traditional barrel making, specializing in crafting high-quality oak barrels for winemaking.  Alain Fouquet is known for his dedication to preserving family heritage and perfecting his craft, utilizing the best French and American oak trees to create barrels that enhance the flavors of fine wines. 

The SE FOUQ is sourced using the staves with the tightest grains possible from the forests of Allier and Troncais. Recommended for aging Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cab Franc. In addition to the St. Emillion barrels silky gamey influences, packs in a much louder in-your-face introduction than its more subtle counterpart, the Margaux Barrel. There are some French winemakers that say the Troncais forest is "that which produces the magic casks."
