Tasting Notes:

The David is a traditional triad of the Bordeaux cultivars cultivated at our Rutherford Estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. This vintage strongly channels a classic Bordelais character, evoking an unmistakable old-world sensibility. Anchored by a commanding percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, the bouquet leads with an elegant blackcurrant perfume. The inclusion of Cabernet Franc (harvested from our 7 Rows block) layers in vibrant notes of cracked peppercorn and wild huckleberry, while the Merlot contributes a plush core of crushed red cherry. The resulting synergy produces an exceptionally distinctive snapshot of our Rutherford terroir. This highly allocated, 10-cask selection was matured entirely in new French barriques and possesses the structural tension to evolve beautifully over the next decade to a decade and a half.
