Tasting Notes:

The famous barrel from esteemed local Napa Valley cooperage Seguin Moreau.  This unique selection of American oak is typically sourced from the Ozarks in Missouri.  With the U-stave technology, the barrel exposes the juice to more surface contact and the toasting of the oak.  The American Oak selections are distinctively different from the French Oaks giving the wines more oak influence on the wines.  The nose is very complex with layers of s’mores, cookie dough, smoked honey baked ham, barbeque chips clove and maple bar. These oak selections, as they age in the bottle smooth out and the flavors integrate nicely and get delicious with bottle age.
