Historic Del Dotto Winery & Caves
This historic property was one of Napa Valley’s first wineries dating back to 1885, and is where our barrel tasting experience was born. Dave and Yolanda Del Dotto restored the winery in the late ‘90s to age our red wines in the caves. These cave-aged wines proved to be more voluptuous and opulent than those aged in modern facilities, and as such, our family continues to age wines in these historic caves to this day.

DESCRIPTION OF AVAILABLE EXPERIENCES
Cave Experience & Barrel Tasting $120 plus tax: This wine tasting experience is what we have become know for at Del Dotto. Our Historic Cave was hand-dug in 1885 and is one of the oldest caves in Napa Valley. Guests are greeted with a pour of white wine upon arrival. Then their host will bring them into the cave to enjoy red wine varietals thieved directly from barrels that are sourced from the great forests of the world. Guests will taste a side-by-side comparison of a single vineyard cabernet aged in French Oak alongside the same cabernet aged in American Oak. Each experience concludes with a pour of featured bottled wine accompanied by a snack of house-made sourdough pizza. Please allow approximately 90 minutes and note that it is a communal standing experience.
